Ecology Services is an association of highly trained and experienced professionals organized into a group of companies, each designated to meet current market demands for a vast range of waste management services. Ecology Services, Inc., the original organization, is a Maryland based corporation formed in 1989 to meet the needs of customers requiring cost effective solutions to radioactive waste management and health physics support.
Realizing that answers were needed to the increasing demands for environmentally friendly solutions to refuse and recycling problems, Ecology Services Refuse and Recycling, LLC was formed in 1996. ESRR focuses on residential and municipal waste and recycling. A conscientiously managed organization, ESRR is centered on courteous and customer oriented personalized refuse removal needs.
Answering the challenge to compete for Maryland's county contracts, Ecology Services Municipal Operations, LLC, was instituted to provide contract service to Montgomery County. Utilizing over fifty trucks, ESMO provided waste and recycling services to five Service Areas awarded in 2002 and 2003.
Recently awarded to ESMO are Service Areas 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 6, and 8, utilizing state of the art compressed natural gas (CNG) trucks with CNG provided to ESMO under contract with Clean Energy.

5.2.13ESI is pleased to announce the renewal of the contract for the "Comprehensive Multiple Component Waste Management Services Including Solid Waste and Refuse, Medical Pathological Waste, and Recycling" awarded by the National Institutes of Health.

4.30.13ESI is proud to announce that they have been awarded the Howard County contract for trash and recyclable dumpster and recyclable cart service for all Howard County office buildings, including Howard County Public schools, Howard Community College, Howard County Parks and Recreations Centers and all government agencies. The service will begin July 1, 2013.
